Original wall-mounted bottle racks

Store wine without taking up floor space: the bottles are mounted on the wall as a decorative element and remain within easy reach in the dining area. Crafted from solid wood, this wall-mounted wine rack is both a piece of furniture and a decorative object, and keeps the bottles in the horizontal position that wines with natural corks prefer. Keep it away from heat sources and direct sunlight—wine’s two enemies—and avoid placing it on radiators or against a wall that gets the afternoon sun. The dining room or a part of the kitchen away from the oven and sunny windows is the ideal spot. As for height, the top shelf should be within reach without a stool: around 170 cm at most.

Calculate the actual weight: each bottle weighs about 1.3 to 1.5 kg, so a 12-bottle rack weighs more than 18 kg when full. On brick or concrete, use appropriate expansion anchors; on drywall, secure the rack to studs or use specific load-bearing anchors. Check the tightness once a year, just as you would with any wall-mounted furniture.

At a minimum: use a dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe away dust between bottles and apply natural oil once a year—it’s easiest to do this when you’re changing the bottles. If a bottle sweats or leaks, dry the wood right away: moisture rings can be prevented with just a quick wipe.
