Solid wood surfaces without upholstery: In the kitchen, there are splashes, airborne grease, and constant cleaning, and fabric shows dirt immediately. Oak wood can be cleaned with the same cloth used for the countertop; it doesn’t retain odors and withstands constant dragging across tile floors without coming loose, provided the joints are solid. The oak we use is solid, FSC-certified, and manufactured in Europe.

How tall should kitchen chairs be?

For standard 75-cm kitchen tables, the seat height should be 45 cm. If your kitchen has a 90-cm counter or peninsula, you'll need a 65-cm stool, and for 110-cm counters, stools ranging from 75 to 80 cm. Always leave about 25 to 30 cm between the seat and the underside of the tabletop to allow room for your legs.

How do you clean wooden kitchen chairs?

Use a damp cloth with a drop of mild soap after meals, then rinse with a wrung-out cloth and dry. This removes surface grease just as effectively, without the need for harsh degreasers that dry out the wood. Apply natural oil once or twice a year—a little more often than in the dining room, since the kitchen is harder on the wood. We’ll explain in detail how to clean a wooden chair without damaging it.
