In Spain, the standard double bed size is 135 x 190 cm, although the market has shifted toward 150 x 190, which is now the best-selling size due to the noticeable difference in comfort for two people. If the bedroom allows it, 160 x 200 offers a significant boost in comfort. The wooden frame adds a few centimeters to each mattress size.

Prioritize sleek, slim-profile designs without a high headboard: they make the room feel more spacious. A 135-wide bed in light oak with exposed legs lets light filter through underneath and makes the room feel lighter.
